Terri Langan appointed as Head of Development at Flix
Development Exec Terri Langan has moved from BBC Children’s to join Flix Facilities Ltd as Head of Development. Terri, who has been with BBC Children’s since the move to Salford and was responsible for securing commissions such as Old Jack’s Boat, Swashbuckle and CBeebies Stargazing, will be responsible for the creative development and assessment of projects undertaken by Flix’s IP Fund.
Previously she was Head of Development for indie Thumbs Up Productions in London and Development Exec for Hotbed Media in Birmingham.
The appointment is seen by the Directors of Flix as being key to the Company’s ambition to expand its involvement with Intellectual Property. The creation of an IP Fund will see Flix facilitating productions across a number of genres with the aim of creating a sustainable portfolio of programmes and features.
Flix Facilities Ltd has operations in central Manchester, Broadway Media City UK and The Space Project with White Tower Media City scheduled to open later this year. Their services cover post production facilities, studio and production office space, CGI and animation and VFX.
Terri said “It was hard for me to even think about leaving such an amazing creative team in BBC Children’s, but joining Flix and helping shape a new chapter in the Company’s history was a challenge I couldn’t turn down”.
Leo, Managing Director “Both Paul (Finance Director) and I are pleased that Terri has chosen to join Flix, we are confident that she will provide a focal point for our talented and creative staff as well as providing insight and feedback on content presented for assistance from the IP fund”.
