Creative Review: Flix completes post production for Most Haunted
Brief: Post-production for established ghost hunting series
How it was done: The offline was completed on Avid MediaComposer and colour effects transferred into the Avid Symphony. Online Editor Mark Stokes and Junior Online Editor Adam Stokes used a combination of dynamic colour correction and effects builds to heighten the tension within each scene. Shot in progressive in low lighting conditions, each programme sports a particular grainy feel, allowing the audience to experience each investigation as a filmic experience. This was reiterated in the use of desaturation in places along with a slightly more generous crushing of blacks and pull down in midtones, further reiterating an ethereal, supernatural tone for the viewer. The onlines and grades were completed using Avid Symphony with the addition of Boris Continuum and Sapphire effects Plugins.
Dubbing mixer Lindsey Green completed the mix on Pro Tools D Command desk ensuring that dialogue could be clearly heard in challenging shooting environments.
