Outside, June kicked off with the hottest days of the year so far, inside Flix Towers though the temperature was plummeting! Chief Engineer Brian and his Air-Con crew completed the Tech Room air conditioning upgrade resulting in sub-Siberian airflow now cooling down the hardworked kit. On behalf of a million circuits and copious motherboards, thank you and well done.
Say Hello and wave Goodbye - as BKN finishes up it's final episode of the animated series 'Stone Age', we welcome the Regional Business Awards which are being produced for Trinity Mirror North West by Becci and John.
In Off-Line we now have three suites taken up editing the 3x60min Blakeway North Food project for BBC Two, two suites working on 'Beat the Boss' for CBBC, one suite for the latest Nine Lives project for FIVE's Extraordinary People, not to mention the usual excitement surrounding The ONE Show.
The rest of the month looks to be busy for the On-Line suites with many of our current Off-Line projects nearing delivery, making way for more great projects to come in August...
Flix CGI have once again been busy during May continuing to provide 2d and 3d graphic solutions for several documentaries. This included work on a crime documentary for Title Role, a new episode of Nine Lives' highly successful 'Nightmare In Suburbia' series, as well as several other as yet undisclosed programmes. Work continues apace in collaboration with the Editors on an animated series for CBeebies. The team have also delved into the advertising sector producing work for Klick Photopoint, as well as continuing to provide DVD authoring solutions for several clients. Finally, as mentioned previously work has begun on this years Regional Business Awards with filming already well underway and the first graphics due to be delivered imminently.
