Spring is in the air, the birds are singing, blossom is blooming and Flix is bursting at the seams with new clients and top new shows from across the broadcast television spectrum.

Nine Lives' latest Extraordinary People, 'The World's Strongest Toddler', goes into Online & Dub this month, while the latest episode in the second series of 'Nightmare in Suburbia' (C&I) hits the ground running just after Easter.

CBBC has also come to town, we have supplied two dedicated offline suites complete with their own media storage and logging station which are due to get fired up later this month for the 'Apprentice' style show, 'Beat the Boss'. The team will be at Flix for a good few weeks, so we hope they enjoy their stay!

New to Flix is London based production company, First Frame Television. Under the watchful eye of Flix favourite, Julia Berg, they have brought a new 'Dispatches' into offline for Channel 4.

A promotional video was also completed for Golden Mile, which is a scheme working in line with the National Curriculum designed to help children of all ages and abilities become fit and active in the safe and familiar environment of their own school grounds.

The Flix CGI team have also been extremely busy over the past month. They have continued to produce the graphic sequences for Extraordinary People currently being aired on Channel Five. The team were also approached by a couple of internationally recognised artists and designers to produce a digital portfolio that showcased their work. The animated video graphics were completed for the Going for Gold awards, which recognises the outstanding achievements of those working for the NHS. Also for the same client we completed a multitude of match moving and compositing shots for a major regeneration project in the North West of England. The team also recently stepped out of the office to shoot footage at a green screen studio using a Phantom HD Camera that they are now using for animation graphics. They also continue to work in collaboration with the editing team on an animated series for CBeebies.

Finally, the department have put the finishing touches to their website which is now live. Please click here to visit the Flix CGI website and learn more about the team and what they could do for you.
